This workshop comprises three popular modules from The Toy R Us impact series developed by MadEm & Grr_Bear. It is our belief and approach that a toy, regardless of what toy, should be an extension of your body, your mind, your creativity, your emotions, and most importantly a source of connection between you and your partner. This session will explore the sexy, fun, and evil ways to develop your mental journey, sensory exploration, and/or mind fuck as you learn to build or enhance an incredibly intimate scene.
This is a full participatory workshop with live demos, after-demo discussions, and potential homework for participants. There will be plenty of practice time with other participants and firsthand opportunities to engage in direct play with the instructor and demo bottoms.
The focus for each module will include:
- What is a scene? / When does it start? / Where does it end? / Why are you scening? / How do you scene?
- Collective scene goals, needs, and expectations
- Scene development and approaches (structured vs free form)
- Exploring all 5 Senses, and integrating music
- Scene Intensity Levels (sensual to brutal)
- Outside the Box Techniques and Styles
- Connecting with yourself & your partner
- Murphy’s Law in the dungeon (dealing with distractions, etc)
Module 1: Hands Touching Hands: Creating an impact scene using only your hands as your most basic “toys”. We will explore how to use them, when and where to use them, from sensual to sadistic creating connections with only your hands. You’ll learn much more than spanking.
Module 2: There Can be Only One. We have all spent a small fortune on toys, some don’t work in certain venues, some are never used, and toy bags get heavy and cumbersome. We will discuss an alternative minimalist approach by exploring all the possibilities that one single unique item can contribute to your play or as a complete scene.
Module 3: Beyond the Falls. Using a simple flogger, we explore how to unfold your scene. We will peel apart the layers of a flogging scene, including the Anatomy of a Flogger, outside the box ideas, leaving the “pre-conceived” use of a flogger behind. Enhance your skills and build your repertoire to create memorable, enjoyable scenes. Bring your favorite flogger or feel free to try out any of ours.
Presenter Bio: Grr_Bear (he/him; https://fetlife.com/users/9415119) has been active in his kink community for 10+ years and involved with numerous munches, events, and conventions. As a retired Neuropsychologist and lifelong educator, the power of the mind has been a central focus of his vanilla world and has evolved into a core component of his kink play. He identifies as a Top, Dominant, and Sadist.
